Feb 19 - Initial filming began ( no clips from this session were used in the final video as they were either reshot or rendered obselete)
Feb 25 - original shots were reconsidered and some filming with new costume began Mar 1 - Headphones added to costume to emphasise the video as a parody and filming was restarted again Mar 3 - Shooting inside school building continued, Chase sequence shot. Chase sequence took about 15 minutes to film correctly. Lesson time was used to capture this footage. The original chase sequence was longer tun in the final video; it changed as it was too long as 1 continuous shot and needed to be broken up to add more variety. Mar 14 - Shooting outside around school ground began. We began editing with the existing clips. We filmed the corridor shot with the drink and the group shot including the hoovering character. Mar 17 - We shot at Connor's house, this is the sequence in the living room. To get all the footage for this sequence, it took around 45 minutes. Some of the clips shot on this day were not used in the final video, for example, one attempt at the opening to the video which included our character waking up and looking confused, although these shots were used later on in the video. Mar 19 - We reshot the shaky and low quality clips that were captured on a worse quality substitute camera and we filmed the shots in the rubble location, which is actually the scrap pile of our school. We had to get permission to shoot here as it was considered a health and safety risk. Mar 24 - We filmed the chroma key sequences. We had to use a film based camera as all the digital cameras had been signed out. This was a nightmare to transfer to the macs and chroma key correctly, and Connor had to take the footage home on a USB stick and mask around the characters and use a different keyer to remove the green screen. Apr 5 - We filmed a lot of connecting and filler shots to bridge the gaps and spaces in the video, however pretty much all of these were later replaced for more logical or better shots to add more variety and diversity of visuals. Apr 13 - Stair sequence shot. This sequence took around half an hour to film. Additions were made to this the next day. Many of the attempts at this were not used in the final video. Behind the scenes footage was shot. Apr 14 - Ideas for what shots we could add at different points in the video were discussed and brainstormed, and then a second angle of the stairs shot was added. Apr 20 - The new ending sequence was shot, including the brick wall behind the actor, instead of the narrative video's ending, as the narrative idea had ben abandoned due to it not working. Apr 23 - The group shots on the bench and the dancing shots were filmed. These only took about a minute each to film as they were quick and easy and ran without mistakes. These clips were also kept short so that we could easily slot them into different places in the video to add variety. Apr 25 - A full editing session, 2 clips were re-filmed and many of the clips were spliced together and edited. 2 new shots were filmed at the rubble location, these were the shots where the tripod is placed at an angle. Apr 26 - Editorial nearly finished. More visual effects were added. Apr 28 - Filmed another group shot and added it to the edit. An extreme close up was added of our actor saying "look" to bridge the gap between an overextended bench shot and a late starting group shot. May 4 - Reshot the teacher sequence with an actual teacher and the new costume to add more humour to the parody. May 10 - Final edit and submission.
